On February 18th 2015 two weirdos swiped right, unknowingly, into their futures. Rob's profile picture at the time was him holding a box of donuts so Grace messaged Rob first. She said that cookie dough donuts are terrible (which, SOMEHOW, is true). The rest of the conversation was a series of one-upping each other's jokes. Neither of them were used to someone keeping up which their bizarre humor.

On February 20th they met in person outside a restaurant in Hamilton Heights. Grace was late. The first thing she said to him in person, once they sat down at their table, was, "So, how can I help you?" After, what would be any other couple, an uncomfortably large amount of inappropriate jokes, they could see they spoke the same language, though Rob wasn't really dressed to impress that night (huge, front pleated, corduroy pants). So...

On February 24th, Rob and Grace had their second date- buying Rob new clothes so he could impress whoever his next date was. By the end of the week he had a new wardrobe, new glasses, a new haircut, and a complete new style. And suddenly Grace had accidentally designed a hot dude. Oops?

One Sunday, in May, Rob gave Grace a question they had both avoided. He asked her, "So, will you be my girlfriend?" This also included a timeline in which he wanted an answer- one week. She knew her answer was yes, but let him stew until Wednesday. Don't worry, he does things that drive her crazy too. Like every time he gives her a hard time when she tells him to trim his nose hairs. Like, why does she have to tell him each time?! He's nearly 38!

Anyway, Rob lived in Inwood, and not long after meeting Grace had to move to Brooklyn (a commute of at least 1 and a half hours from door to door). After a year, of that hot sweaty subway trash of a trip, they moved in together, with the stipulation from Rob that they get a dog. And what a dog she is. In April of 2017 they moved to Atlanta together.

For Rob's 37th birthday Grace arranged for his best friend Satyam and his girlfriend Tiasia to come in for a surprise visit. What fun! On Rob's birthday (Sunday, October 22, 2017) they all went to the Atlanta United soccer game. Afterwards they stopped at the local Publix to pick up some supplies when Rob let Sat and Tai in on the secret- he was proposing that night. (The ring is Grace's great grandmother's engagement ring from the early 1900s.) They all got back to the house, starting watching TV. Eventually, this happened.
